| Avon plans MVNO launch in Poland
Avon, a producer and distributor of cosmetics, is reportedly planning to launch a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) by the end of May.
The network, under the MyAvon name, will use the infrastructure of Centertel, an Orange mobile network operator in the country. While Avon will resell telecommunications services, Centertel will deal with billing and customer service.
The company announced that it will offer services mainly to clients and consultants who sell Avon products. The latter will be offered bonuses apart from points for pre-paid top-ups that can be exchanged for discounts on cosmetic products.
MyAvon is the second MVNO to enter the Polish market after mBank, an online retail bank, which launched telecommunications services in mid-December 2006.
